Idea is to do drugs as you see fit for you, according to your RPs, your mood.

One can use it at parties to enhance experience or as a RP tool to behave like a junkie.

The experience

• No instant addiction. You are safe to try any drug once to see how it feels without any addiction issue.
• Unique and unpredictable behaviors.
• Ability to interact with the world even when high or sick.
• Animations do not mess with user’s current pose.
• The HUD is discreet, using only private messages.

JoY! requires

• A RLV compatible viewer (like...not the official viewer from Linden Lab)
• That RLVa support is enabled because
  • All drug effects are RLV based.
  • If addicted, your HUD will become not detachable.

TIP: If your HUD keeps detaching itself, it's probably because it does not detect RLVa in your viewer, please check the HUD output chat.

NOTE: Marine's RLV, Kokua and non-RLVa supporting viewer doesn't support some RLV restrictions related to vision distortions. The system will warn you and you will probably miss a lot of drug visual effects.

Note about PBR viewers:

Lately, Firestorm has released a major version including PBR and they have broken many RLV commands doing so and depending of your OS, it is possible that you suffer a degraded experience with drug effects (especially macOS and Linux). Please see below a list of potential issues. We have done our best to find turnarounds. On Linux, we recommend to stick to Firestorm 6.6.17 since as of today, none of the new releases have fix issues (all drug effects are just a green screen). Kokua PBR is a little better but yet some unwanted behaviors occur. Alchemy seems to be the best if you want to experience both PBR and JoY!.

JoY! is a tool that simulates virtual drug use in Second Life's virtual worlds as part of role-playing games.

The default or “healthy” workflow

This is the default workflow one can expect when using the HUD for the first time or when healthy (not addicted).

One can use every drugs they want. Once consumed, the user will enter the “High” state, where actual effects occur. Each drug gives an addiction level which can be accumulated. Once the effect vanished, the user will recover and the addiction will slowly decrease to 0%.

The addiction threshold is 2%. That means that if you reach 2%, your body is stated as poisoned and you will be addicted. There is another process to fall into addiction, based on your habits.

Notes:

• The HUD won’t never show your current addiction level or the time remaining to reach 0% while recovering. This is as per design! Like in real life, it is risky to do drug and hard to set a limit.
• If you want to be safe always, best way is to wait until recovering state is over before going for a new drug. Also try to avoid doing same drug always since it can trigger the habit system. That said, with some soft drugs, it would be hard to reach that limit (ie cannabis) but if you got a habit.
• You can check the drugs addiction table to estimate the gain of addiction you may get.
• Dealers can gather some data from you, like your addiction level in case you are wondering.

Smileys definitions

This is the “normal” state or idle state. It means that your addiction is 0% and that you are ready for some fun. Nothing special will happen at this stage and it’s safe to detach the HUD until you want to have some fun again.

This is the “High” state. It shows up when the drug effect has actually started. At that moment you can go for another drug to add more effect time, or to mix the effects of different drugs. Keep in mind that the more drugs you take, the more addiction you gain.

This face appears when you have pass out. It happens if you gain more than 1% of addiction in less than five minutes. The pass out lasts two minutes. See the pass out chapter for more details.

This stage is the recovering. Your drug effect is over and your addiction level slowly decreases to 0% over time until the normal stage. Keep in mind that to take drug during this stage will add the drug addiction level to your current addiction.

This special face will appear if you get used to a single drug, if you use regularly the same drug. See the habits chapter for more details.

The addicted workflow

The workflow for addicted users, aka the junkies, is different.

• No recovery state, addiction increases always each time you take a drug.
• Once effect has finished, junkie resumes to normal state.
• The more you consume, the less the effects will last and your normal time will become shorter (tolerance).
• As the time passes, you may expect withdrawals at some point (sad faces and sickness).
• Your HUD is locked, you can’t detach it anymore.

Faces definitions

This is the “normal” state. It means that you are normal and you do not need drug.

Of course you can do drug at any time, this will give you extra time.

This is the “high” state when one is high using a non-certified drug while on Hard mode.

This is the face of a healed user while suffering withdrawals.

This is the “High” state. It shows up when the drug effect has actually started. At that moment you can go for another drug to add more effect time, or to mix the effects of different drugs. Keep in mind that the more drugs you take, the more normal time you gain. Sadly, as you get used, the drug effect time will decrease.

This face appears when you have pass out. It happens if you gain more than 1% of addiction in less than five minutes. The pass out lasts two minutes. See the pass out chapter for more details

These are the “sad” faces. It will show up one hour before sickness. It means you start to need your next drug and that sickness will occur in 1 hour.

It is divided by three sub-states:

• 60 to 30 minutes before sickness: You feel depressed, low and sad. Your hands are shaking.
• 30 to 15 minutes before sickness: You feel anxious. People around you scares you and you begin to suffer hallucinations.
• 15 minutes to 0: You are desperate. All symptoms are getting worst. Find a virtual drug or you will switch to the sickness stage!

A medic can heal your pain and stop all or some hallucinations.

This face is for the sickness stage. The world will be dark and sad. You vision will be blurry. At that moment, your addiction starts to decrease very, very slowly. If you can handle to remain sick for some long hours (to days) depending of your addiction level, you may cure yourself and become healthy again. Your state will be “cured”.

A medic can heal your pain and stop all or some hallucinations.

It is also the face when one passes out using a non-certified drug on hard mode

This special face will appear if you try a new drug!

So far, no special event to expect, maybe in future

Habits

This feature tracks your drug consumption to define

• Your fav drug
• How often you do it

Idea is to detect any recurrent usage of a particular drug and to turn the user addicted. As of today, the criteria is

To use same drug four times

• At least once per hour.
• Without to reach 2% because one would be instantly poisoned.

When addicted, the tracker will shut down for script usage concern and your addiction will be set to 2%.

Pass out

If one gets +1% of addiction level in the last 5 minutes, they are likely to pass out. When one is fainting, you are helpless. Dealers around can gather your data or inject you with Phenobarbital without your consent. This will make one to sleep five extra minutes and to be eventually kidnapped (force TP). The default pass out lasts 2 minutes. Some extra RLV restrictions apply to simulate the user status (deaf, blind and muted). A medic is able to help you to recover instantly using Naloxone.

Withdrawals

When the sad blue face is displayed, the withdrawals will start light to heavy over time until sickness. It can be paranoiac symptoms (sounds, messages) and hallucinations (RLV effects and windlights). Once sick, your SL experience is very sad and grey , very degraded, yet not impossible.

A medic can help you to heal your symptoms while on a rehab process for example.

Tolerance

The more you consume, the more you get used to drugs. That is why one can’t expect that one drug can make them to recover full normal time nor full effect.

These times lower as your addiction increases

As an example:

Let say one takes a shot of Heroin each time they are sick. (medium resistance and purity=0.6)

Notes:

• The max normal time is four hours. The minimum is 0,5 hour. So it could happen that 30 minutes after you have taken a drug you are shaking again. It depends on the drug you take. For example, if you are sick and smoke a joint, do not expect 5 hours normal time.
• You can’t assume that one drug = 5 hours normal time.
• If you plan to take one drug only when the sad emoji appears, you might expect that your normal time will decrease quickly because of tolerance. You will need more drug to maintain your normal time length.

Ketamine

Dealers and medics can help you to lower your addiction level using Ketamine.

Ketamine lowers one’s addiction depending of user’s resistance, addiction level and the favorite drug.

• The more addiction increase, the less Ketamine is efficient.
• The more a user is resistant, the less Ketamine is efficient.
• The more the fav drug is strong, the less Ketamine is efficient.

The Ketamine efficiency is written at system startup. Ketamine won’t work on healthy users and won’t lower addiction below 2%.

Ketamine is embedded within the JoY! Dealer HUD and JoY! Medic HUD.

Phenobarbital

When a customer has passed out, they are helpless and vulnerable. Consent is disabled. Some nasty dealers can inject them with the Phenobarbital to force them to “sleep” 5 more minutes. Doing so, they are also granted RLV TP exceptions on the victim for same 5 minutes. That means they can TP them where they want. For those wondering how to force someone to pass out, we advise:

• Pass out happens if one gets 1+% addiction in less than 5 minutes. Have a look at the drug descriptions below. It will be always a mix of two drugs since it is not required to wait for the end of the first to start a second one. Only restriction that applies is from direct injections to avoid spamming.
• RP skills

Phenobarbital is embedded within the JoY! Dealer HUD.

Medic Medicines

If the medic picks up the right substitutes, according to their patient’s data, the medicine will heal totally the patient for 1 hour. The patient won’t suffer any withdrawal symptoms meanwhile.

If the medic picks the wrong one, some symptoms will remain and the heal time will be way shorter.

There is a special medicine, anti-overdose: Naloxone

This will stop the pass out effect of a patient.

Flavor comparison

Three HUDs can do drugs exactly the same way. No reason why a dealer or a medic could not become addicted.

About MEDIC HUD: This is a new flavor introduced with version 3.0 of the system and it won’t work as expected with previous versions of JoY! HUD (1.x and 2.x)

The Red Phone

The red phone icon shows up on the standard HUD when you are sick. If you feel alone, or unable to find a dealer you may use it to display a list of 10 random online dealers grid-wide. Feel free to contact them. This is available only for JoY! HUD.

The Dealer/Medic HUD has extra features:

The radar shows up when one or more JoY! users are in the same parcel. Clicking it will display the list of users.

The info button allows the dealer/medic to “scan” a specific user and gather their public data (status, addiction, fav drug). It shows up when a JoY! user is in a 5 meters range. To gather the data may require the user’s consent if not in the dealer’s list or if not a medic’s patient.

This is also the only way to know if a user is in Hard mode mode or not.

Medic can get extra information: Ketamine efficiency, history of drug consumption (name+amount), exact addiction % and an estimated rehab time if patient is sick.

The injection menu allows the Dealer/Medic to inject a user with some injectables:

• Heroin: must be purchased as a special package : “JoY! HUD Heroin (x10)” that must be added as a HUD. (Do not try to drag and drop actual syringes into your HUD, it won’t work). Medics can’t fill their HUD with heroin.
• Ketamine to lower one’s addiction up to 2%
• Phenobarbital for dealers only, to force a user into a 5 minutes “deep sleep” and to get TP RLV exceptions on them (is available only if close to a user that has pass out)
• Medic medicines in Medic HUD only. To heal withdrawal of JoY! users.

It shows up when a user is in a 5 meters range. The injection may require the user’s consent if not in the dealer’s list or if user is not a patient.

Note: Medicines, Ketamine and Phenobarbital are embedded in the Dealer/Medic HUD. There are not available in shops.

Dealer’s customers list. Will show after a click on the HUD. Allows one to add a user (+). This requires the user’s consent. Once accepted, the dealer won’t need any consent to perform actions from the user. Also the user can’t break this particular relationship. Only the dealer can remove them.

The list icon allows the dealer to manage their list: show, remove or flush.

Max allowed customers in the list is 30.

MEDIC HUD: How to add a user as a patient?

Medic can add ONE patient at a time to bypass consent. To do so, just click on your HUD for a menu. The grant will last until the medic removes the patient using the “CLEAR” button.

Online status:

Online dealer/medic profiles are showed up on the TV at the main store (so one can click it and get the dealer or medic SL profile) and eventually when one uses the red phone (dealers only). You have to deal with it and answer users properly if they contact you. Dealers/medics can use the “Online” option to switch to private mode and become ghosts (see Add-ons below).

Switch HUDs

It is possible, yet not recommended, to switch both ways from JoY! HUD to JoY! DEALER HUD or JoY! Medic HUD.

Note: You must be clean (no addiction) to switch to Medic HUD! Doctors are not supposed to be addicted... but they can fall into addiction of course...

Even if the Dev team has tried to secure this process, one may experience data loss, especially the drug consumption history which is not stored off-grid.

There is a bug in 3.1.4 : switching medic/dealer HUD wearing them both at the same time delete embedded heroin in the dealer HUD. Please just remove one before to add the other until bug is fixed

Best practices:

Again, do not link HUDs in your outfits or SL inventory. This could lead to unwanted HUD switches or versions mismatches.

Another common issue is related to RLV restrictions that forbid one to detach attachments. Doing so a consumed drug won’t be able to detach properly from your avatar and will spam you with the “empty drug” message over and over.

The following add-ons work only when high, clicking 3secs+ on your HUD

Project Arousal:

The JoY! HUD can be linked to PA2 using a PA2 plugin that will makes one moan while being high. To skip the moaning once, one can long click the HUD (>3secs) and click “PA2 OFF” when a drug effect starts.

Ruin:

One can long click the HUD (>3secs) and click “RUIN” when a drug effect has started to stop it earlier. This option may be disabled for particular drugs or when Hardcore mode is enabled.

The following options are available at any time, clicking 1sec+ on your HUD

Shitty Mornings:

This new feature is meant to simulate the awaking of an addicted user who would be depressed and needy. Long click the HUD for more than 1 second to show up the menu. If activated, a login to SL after 6hours RL will be considered as a shitty morning and you will start depressed automatically. The feature can be disabled at any time if not in Hardcore mode.

Hardcore mode:

When Hardcore mode is enabled and user is addicted, “Shitty mornings” and “No Shop!” are activated and LOCKED. Addicted user won’t be able to disable them until they are clean again (cured)

About No Shop!:

It is not an option anymore. It is activated automatically with Hard mode only. Every drug bought from Marketplace or in-world shops will be less efficient:

• Shorter and disappointing drug effect.
• Shorter normal time.

To experience a normal and efficient drug shot from an actual product, users will have to get them from a dealer who has to certify them (see below). This does not apply to direct injections which are always assumed certified.

Also the following apply with HARD mode:

• The cure syringe will reduce addiction to 2% only. (it is 0% with non hardcore addicted users)
• The addiction decrease rate is 2x slower than non hardcore addicted users when sick.
• No ruin ability.

Note: If you enable the hardcore mode being healthy, it will enforce if you become addicted!

Note: If you do not have the will nor possibility to meet dealers, if you hate to meet/RP with people or if you enjoy to consume solo or whatever, do not enable the hardcore mode. This mode is for people enjoying to feel more dependent with the system and the dealers.

Note: Only Addicted+Hardcore users will show “mode: Hard” in dealer or medic scan results. All others are assumed “mode: Normal”. So it is useless to serve certified drugs to normal customers.

Online:

Clicking this allows a dealer or medic to switch to a private state. In private, their name won’t show on TVs in shops nor in “red phone” list. We know some use the dealer HUD in private communities, for the fashion or its features. It is a way to be out of the public dealers circle. Clicking again makes the HUD public again. This option is enabled by default.

Certify:

If a dealer wants to supply a hardcore user properly, then they have to certify the drugs first before to share them with the customer. It is a way to seal the drug, adding the dealer’s id.

The logic behind this is to make sure users in hardcore mode are using drugs they did not buy. Since shops to inventory and inventory to inventory SL transfer flows do not affect the drug ownership, the only way is that the drug is rezzed before it is shared. Plus users will have a notification when they will consume telling who has certified their drug. This notification won’t show for normal customers.

How to:

To do so, the dealer will have to rezz the drug(s) in-world and click the certify button (long click on HUD for the menu). It is possible to certify several drugs in one click of course. Then the name of the drug(s) will end with “certified” and the dealer id is sealed inside. No one can remove it now. Users can check that the drug is certified checking its name before to use or buy. There won’t be certified drugs in shops nor MP.

Note: This has required us to change all drugs in shops on 22/07/2025. So previous stocks are likely to not be certifiable. Keep them for the classic users and consider to buy new supplies to be certified.

Note: One, in hardcore mode, can’t certify themselves the drugs they buy and want to consume, it would be useless to rush to buy a dealer HUD to certify your own goods... it won’t work!

Note: There is no benefit for a normal user to seek/consume certified drugs since the experience won’t be different at all: no special effect, no certification message etc. A certified drug is exactly the same as a non certified drug for a normal user.

AO:

This button stops high animations on your avatar. Note that some drugs like Krokodil will still apply some animations

The Golden Watch:

This is a unique gacha one is gifted when 100% addicted.

This watch has two features:

- It gives you the remaining time before next withdrawals.

- It will ring 5 minutes before withdrawals start (first sad smiley)

Idea is that you can optimize your drug consumption.

- The watch is MOD so you can adjust it to your wrist.

- Simple click on it shows the remaining time in chat.

- Long click toggles time display over the watch.

- Will ring 5 minutes before the first blue face.

Just add the watch to your avatar and it will sync with your JoY! HUD.

Feel free to move the script to another attachment of yours. Be aware it could become no MOD/no COPY because of the script rights!

The cumJoY! HUD:

This simple HUD allows a donor to share some JoY! with their sex partners.

1. Requirements

In order for the HUD to work :

- The wearer (donor) must be high or recovering.

- The donor and the partner must be close ( about 1 meter).

- The donor and the partner must be sitting.

2. How to

When the HUD is not ready to service, it is "Idle" state.

If all requirements are satisfied, then HUD changes to "Ready" state.

Now the donor has several options to deliver their cum

- Cum using the P cock.

- Click the HUD.

- Experimental: cum with Mama Allpa

Doing so, HUD switches to "cumming" state.

Then, there is a 2 minutes "reloading" state before HUD is ready again.

Note: Drugged sperm is very low addictive (0.1%) and won't trigger habits.

Effect is different for each drug. One part is handled by the item itself like the overlays or the blur effects, the other by your HUD.

The max effect time is 30 minutes. The minimum is 1,5 minutes.

Most of effects are on-screen effects like distortion, colors, flashes etc. JoY won’t never change the way you “speak” nor forbid you to speak.

💡 There is one particular effect, affecting your “ears” that will make it hard for you to understand what people is saying around you (in local chat) when you are high or sick. For a best experience, deactivate a debug setting in your viewer :

CTRL+ALT+D to enable Advanced Menu, then open “show debug settings”. Look for [RestrainedLoveShowEllipsis] and change it to FALSE.

List of available drugs:

• 🐉 Heroin: mid range purity and high addiction. Handle with care! This item is injected
• ❄️ Cocaine: mid range purity and high addiction. Handle with care! This item is sniffed
• 🥦 Cannabis: lightest item with wide range of possible purity levels. This item is smoked
• 🌺 Opium: mid range purity and high addiction. Handle with care. This item is smoked
• 🚬 Crack: mid range purity and high addiction. Handle with care. This item is smoked
• 💎 Meth: mid range purity and high addiction. Handle with care. This item is smoked
• 💠 LSD: mid range purity and mid addiction. This item is swallowed
• 💊 MDMA: mid range purity and mid addiction. This item is swallowed
• 🐊 Krokodil: low purity and quality but a strong addictive ability. Cheaper than heroin. Handle with care! This item is injected
• 🍸 Alcohol: high and stable purity level and high addiction. This item is drunk
• 🍶 Sake: mid range purity and high addiction. This item is drunk

Resistance

Once you attach a drug to you avatar, one needs to wait a certain time before the effect to start. It is time for the drug to virtually “spread in your body”. During that time, nothing special happen. This time depend on some data relative to your avatar. It's called resistance. (gender, height). That means higher resistance level will need longer time for the effect to start. Also resistant avatars will have shorter effect but a longer normal time.

Drug properties :

Purity:

As in real life, drug quality varies depending on the chemicals used, the raw material etc.

That is why, each time you consume a drug, the quality varies randomly as below.

• As an impact for you, purity influences the length of
  • The drug effect.
  • Your “normal” time.
• That's why you may feel that a drug effect lasts shorter than usual or you are normal shorter than usual (and the opposite).

PRO TIP : Alcohol is the only legal hard drug, and it is crafted in factories. That’s why purity is high and almost stable. It's the perfect substitute for addicted users, plus it's cheap and available everywhere, no need of a dealer. So spare always L$10 in case of emergency!

Addiction level

• This is a constant level each drug you consume will give you.
• Addiction lowers your effect time and normal time.

Cure

There is one special drug that actually cure totally the user. Technically, your HUD is restored to the healthy workflow, your addiction is 0% and your status is “cured”.

For Hardcore users, your addiction will be 2%. You will have to finish the journey in sickness...

Once you have an item in your inventory, you have two ways to use it:

• Add it to your avatar.
• Rez it and click it.

Once consumed, the virtual drug will detach itself automatically from your avatar. It is now empty and won’t work again. If you rez it again, it will just delete itself.

The drug itself does not check if the JoY! HUD is worn or not. So if you add it without the HUD, you will have some visual effects but the drug is wasted.

TIPS: Since it's impossible to delete/rename an attachment being worn, it can be quickly a mess in your inventory, especially to know which drug is full and which is empty. When possible, the best way to consume is to rez your item and then to click it. So that, the drug is attached temporarily and will be deleted once empty rather than to remain in your inventory.

Note: Take good care to have one attachment point free if you rez and click the drug. The temporary attachment does not check that you can’t add anything more and the drug just vanish without any effect.

Note about temporary attachments:

If you have touched a rezzed drug, and it has attached to you, do not

• Relog
• Crash

This will lead to the lost of your drug since temp attachments do not survive that. That said, once you notice the output “you just drug yourself with...”, it means that the system has recorded your drug intake and “only” the visual effect would be wasted. Also note that you won’t see the drug in your inventory and you can’t take it as well.

If you crash for any reason, you may notice that your HUD has restored to a previous state. It's how SL handles a crash and it is a general “issue” with all your attachments, not only JoY! HUD.

Nothing much can be done but to relog each time you want to be sure that your scripts are stored.

How to RP with your drugs

• All drugs permission is no mod/no copy/transfer.
• You can share them directly with others but you won’t have them anymore (no copy).
• Also, if you rez it, anyone can click it to consume it if in a range of 3 meters around (beware of thieves).
• Take care to have at least one attachment point available.
• Do not do drugs in no script allowed parcels!
• Drug animations are bypassed if one is already sitting (but some with arm only).
• Dealers can inject you with Heroin directly from their HUD.

Notes:

• Drugs are compatible with the Nexus Drug Test Kit and will be shown as JoY! (name)

How can dealers help me?

• Dealers can obviously provide you with drugs*
• Dealers can inject you with drug (heroin) directly from their HUD, without to share actual item.*
• Dealers can lower your addiction level at any time using Ketamine until 2%.*
• Dealers can take advantage of your pass-out and kidnap you.
• Dealers can scan your HUD and gather your data (status, fav drug and addiction level)*.
• Dealers can certify the drugs for Hardcore users.

This requires your consent but if you are in the dealer’s fav list or if you have pass out.

Consent is a menu asking you if you agree or not that a dealer will inject you or scan you. You are free to accept or decline. Dealers can also invite you to join their “favorite customers list”. If you accept, then no consent will be needed anymore and you won’t be able to remove yourself from the list but if you ask them.

How can medics help me?

• Medics can inject you medicines to heal your withdrawal while on a rehab process.
• Medics can lower your addiction level at any time using Ketamine until 2%.*
• Medics can save you if you pass-out.
• Medics can scan your HUD and gather your data (status, fav drug, addiction level but also your consumption history and estimated rehab length)*.

Note: Length of rehab time is accurate only when the patient is sick (when addiction lowers over time). If not, it is just estimated length. For non-addicted users recovering, it show time to normal state.

This requires your consent but if you are their patient.

Consent is a menu asking you if you agree or not that a medic will inject you or scan you. You are free to accept or decline. Medic can also invite you to become their patient. If you accept, then no consent will be needed anymore until they TP to another parcel or relog. It is a temporary grant.

We have in-world roleplay vendors and normal vendors at Fox District.

Since there are too much role change requests, team can’t handle them. In order to keep a relevant role listing, we have automated this. Please note, it is useless to switch to normal HUD to consume! All HUDs does the same as the free HUD regarding drug consumption and addiction. It is not bad to have some fun with a medic or dealer HUD!

In the common group and the dealer group, Juliette manages, once per hour, all the roles as follow:

Dealer:

If you just get the dealer HUD or were using the normal HUD, you must use the dealer HUD for one week to get the dealer role and the dealer group invitation. If you are away or not using the system for more than one week, the role and group is removed. If you get addicted, you are removed or denied to get the role. If you are clean again, role should be back. Dealers are users willing to sell to others. They must know the system, be clean and available. Dealers are invited to join a special group to be allowed to use the dealer corner vendor at the shop. Besides being addicted, it is not bad to be kicked off the group for example if one is a medic for more than 7 days or one is away for more than 7 days. As soon as Juliette detects you are back as a dealer, she must send you a new invite.

Dealers should NEVER wear the normal HUD because Juliette would assume you change completely your role and then you will have to wait 7 days again to get the dealer role back.

Some have blocked the bot for spam reasons probably, not willing to update for example. It is ok but you won’t get the group invitation.

The dealer group is meant to give dealers opportunity to get cheaper drugs on bulk.

Medics:

Users willing to help others. Newcomers: Juliette sets role after one week. If you do not use it for one week, or switch to normal HUD, role is removed.

It is not recommended to switch dealer to medic HUD wearing both HUDs, there is a bug that would destroy your embedded heroin! Better to remove one and add the other until bug is fixed.

Hardcore :

Users in hard mode. Juliette adds or remove the role automatically regarding your hard mode state.

Updates are pushed via

• HUD (CasperVend system)

The bot Juliette:

Juliette is a little pushy as it sends you the update and an IM one time a day when you login if you have not update your HUD. Please update ASAP to stop the push. Assume that if Juliette pushes, then you are not up to date.

How to update:

Basically, the best and recommended way is to simply add the new HUD over the old one.

They will share your data and the old HUD will detach automatically from you. Then you can delete the old HUD.

Since versions 1.5*, the HUD also shares its position on your screen. So the update should position itself to the correct spot.

Notes:

• If you are in the healthy workflow, you can detach the old HUD and add the new one safely but if you want to keep your data (like fav drug, current addiction level).
• Do not update while high or pass out. The new HUD should refuse to update because it's not a suitable state.
• Do not link or copy your HUD into outfits or RLV folders. This because if you add an outdated HUD over the current one, the system will keep detaching the old HUD in a kind of loop with hazardous behaviors. It's best to have always only one copy of the HUD that is worn. Moreover, to update all the links is a pain in the axx! Isn’t it?

• The HUD checks only once the current version over the internet at login.
• If a new version is available, then another HTTP request is made to Juliette to force a redelivery and a message like “good news there is an update” is displayed.
• Another request is made when one uses the red phone, to gather a list of available dealers.
